FRESNO, Calif. — A trip west for the University of Toledo football team quickly went off-script.
Fresno State scored 42 unanswered points at one point as Toledo fell 49-27 to the Bulldogs in a nonconference game Saturday at Bulldog Stadium.
Making matters worse, Toledo starting quarterback Mitch Guadagni was knocked out of the game with an injury and was unable to play in the second half. Rockets coach Jason Candle had no update on Guadagni’s injury afterward.
