TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo's trio of sophomore , junior , and sophomore held Ball State to one run on five hits in Sunday's 5-1 win at Scott Park.
After dropping the first three games of the series, the Rockets bounced back on Sunday to end the weekend on a high note. The Cardinals had scored 21 runs in the previous three games, but they were stymied by Toledo's pitching in the series finale.
"I'm really proud of the team and the way they came out and played today," head coach said. "It salvaged the weekend and keeps us right in the thick of the MAC standings.
