KENT, Ohio - The Toledo offense was limited to just four singles and a pair of big innings for Kent State led to a 10-1 Mid-American Conference defeat on Sunday afternoon at Schoonover Stadium.
The Rockets (14-26, 7-8 MAC) were led by sophomore Ross Adolph who picked up half of the UT hits with base knocks in the second and the fourth. Junior Brad Boss and sophomore Riley Campbell record the other two singles for the Midnight Blue & Gold.
Kent State (24-12, 10-2 MAC) struck first with a single run in the bottom of the third inning off of Toledo's senior starter Sam Shutes.
