University of Toledo men’s basketball forward AJ Edu has suffered his third major knee injury.
Edu was set to return to the Rockets for the 2021-22 season after rehabbing a torn meniscus in his right knee. However, the 6-foot-10 center recently tore the ACL in his left knee during practice.
The injury is not thought to be career ending, and the Rockets hope he can play this upcoming season. It is unclear how long Edu will be out for, but the typical rehab process for the injury is at least six months.
“Just awful luck,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said.
