MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Toledo baseball team stayed alive in the Mid-American Conference tournament with a 13-5 victory over Ohio on Friday.
The Rockets will face Central Michigan at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in an elimination game. The winner will advance to the finals to take on host Ball State.
Despite falling behind 4-0 on a first-inning grand slam by Ohio's Maso Minzey, Toledo scored at least 10 runs for the second consecutive game.
"I thought we did an unbelievable job today," Rockets coach Rob Reinstetle said "Offensively, we had another strong game, Garret Pike and Mason Sykes have both had a great tournament so far.
