TOLEDO, Ohio - Sophomore Thomas Thurloway was named Mid-American Conference's Men's Golfer of the Week on Friday. The Rockets' sophomore received the accolade for the first time in his career.
Thurloway was unbeaten in three matches to help Toledo advance to the championship match of the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play event in Dade City, Fla. Also receiving the honor along with the Crawley, England native were Ball State's Timothy Wiseman and Miami's Patrick Flavin and Brian Ohr, who posted perfect 3-0 win-loss marks as well.
