BALTIMORE — Quinesha Lockett had 17 points as the University of Toledo women’s basketball team defeated Loyola Maryland 62-40 on Wednesday.
The Rockets (5-2) led most of the way, outscoring Loyola in each quarter. UT led 23-16 at halftime before surging in the third quarter, thanks to 60 percent (9-of-15) shooting from the field, to a 44-28 advantage.
"It was a little bit of a sloppy game," Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. "I'm glad we can play sloppy on the road and still win, but we need to clean some things up when we get back home.
