Stifling Defense Propels Rockets to 83-57 Triumph over Jackson State

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo produced a dominant defensive performance on Wednesday evening and rolled to a convincing 83-57 victory over Jackson State in Savage Arena. The Rockets' strong defensive effort limited the Tigers to an opponent season-low 32.8 field-goal percentage en route to its largest margin of victory this season.

Sophomore center Luke Knapke and junior forward Nate Navigato each scored a team-high 16 points to pace a balanced UT attack that saw 10 different Rockets find the scoring column. Junior guard Jaelan Sanford also scored in double digits with 15 points with senior guard Tre'Shaun Fletcher, sophomore forward Willie Jackson and sophomore guard Justin Roberts each tallying seven points apiece.
