NAPLES, Fla. — There’s no place like home, and for the Toledo men’s basketball team, home feels a little bit like Southwest Florida.
The Rockets are a few miles north in Bonita Springs, where they’re camped at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. The games for the Gulf Coast Showcase take place at the Hertz Center in Estero. But the warm meals and hospitality will take place in Naples at the homes of two families that are integral to the success of the UT athletic department.
“The Armes family and the Chapmans hosting the team for Thanksgiving, it truly makes it like a home away from home,” Toledo athletic director Bryan Blair said.
