Each Tuesday during the regular season, designated USBWA board members select five standouts from the 32 Division I conference players of the week to be recognized.
Wilson averaged 21.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 4.5 apg and shot 66.7 percent from the field. He opened his week on Wednesday by tying his career high with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting and eight rebounds in an 86-77 win over Wright State in the Rockets' home opener.
