Shooting has been a struggle for the University of Toledo women’s basketball team all season long, and the team hit rock bottom with an 0-for-8 mark on 3-pointers and a 8-of-17 mark on free throws in a loss at Miami on Feb. 7.
With a week between games after a loss at Mid-American Conference leader Central Michigan on Saturday, UT coach Tricia Cullop has used the extra time to go back to the drawing board to build up the confidence of her shooters and adjust or tinker with any flaws there might be in their shooting mechanics.
“We’ve gotten a lot of reps, and the kids have been required to have so many makes per week,” Cullop said.
