BOSTON, Mass. – The Toledo women's track & field team had seven distance runners record personal-best times in the mile and 3,000m races on the opening day of Boston's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday.
Leading the way for the Midnight Blue and Gold was graduate student Laura Nicholson, the lone representative in the mile. Nicholson ran two seconds faster than her personal best, at 4:34.35 to finish 12th overall.
Senior Vilde Henriksen led the pack in the 3,000m race with a 9:13.62 and 33rd place finish, the fastest time by a Rocket so far this year.
