Muncie, Ind. - The Toledo women's track and field team earned their first podium appearance of the weekend when senior Jennifer took third place in the 10,000 meters in day one of the 2019 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Muncie, Ind. on Thursday. Lichter finished with a time of 35:50.45 and put six points on the board for the Rockets.
Toledo athletes also advanced into Saturday's finals in the 1500m, 200m and 400m hurdle events.
"We got four people through to finals," said head coach Linh Nguyen. "We have one in position to score in the multis and got some points on the board in the 10K, so overall it was a pretty solid first day.
