INDIANAPOLIS – The Toledo women's soccer team grabbed a 1-1 draw at IU Indy in the 2024 season opener after netted the equalizer in the 79th minute at Carroll Stadium on Thursday.
"A slow start hurt us, but we responded with a fantastic second half and out-shot them 12-2," said Head Coach . "We'll learn from tonight's match and move forward. We have a good opportunity in front of us on Sunday against Cincinnati."
Toledo trailed for most of the contest after an 11th-minute goal from the Jaguars' Caroline Kelley. Amachree's unassisted goal came after a dominant second half in which Toledo took the last 11 shots of the contest and kept IU Indy off the shot board for the final 36 minutes.
