Homecoming weekend has arrived at Toledo, but instead of a pushover opponent, the Rockets are welcoming one of their biggest tormenters to the Glass Bowl.
Northern Illinois has defeated UT in nine of the past 13 meetings, including four of the past six in Toledo. The Huskies have seemingly been an annual roadblock for the Rockets, routinely spoiling seasons and leaving a string of UT coaches flummoxed.
Usually, the soul-crushing losses come in November, as this is the first time the teams are meeting in October since 2009. Another change: Toledo is a double-digit favorite. The last time the Rockets were a heavy home favorite they lost to Colorado State.
