CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team swept Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors after sweeping the weekend with a pair of home-field wins over Ball State and Miami, improving to 3-5-0 in conference play.
Sophomore Anita Mancini was named MAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after she recorded her second and third career game-winning goals en route to a 2-0-0 weekend for the Rockets. Friday night, in what looked to be a game that was sure to go into overtime, Mancini took Ball State's keeper Tristin Stuteville one-on-one at the top of the 18, beating the keeper to the right side and burying the ball into the back of the net with 8:08 left in the game to break the scoreless tie.
