SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Toledo softball team started the 2020 season with two big wins on day one of the H.E.B. Classic in San Antonio, Texas The Rockets defeated Creighton 2-0 in the morning contest, later coming back for a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Texas Southern in the afternoon. Junior Erin Hunt and freshman McKenna Schmidt put together a nice day on the mound for the Rockets. Hunt tied her program-record for strikeouts in a single game (14) in Game One, while Schmidt earned her first win in the Midnight Blue and Gold in the nightcap.
