Rockets Split Pair of High-Scoring Affairs vs. Ohio

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team split a doubleheader with Ohio on Friday afternoon at a windy Scott Park by posting a 10-8 victory in the opener before falling by a 10-7 margin in the second game.

The Rockets (17-11, 7-5 MAC) jumped out to big leads in both contests but were unable to hold onto a 7-2 advantage after four innings in the nightcap.

"It was kind of a bittersweet day because we were three innings away from a big doubleheader sweep and we couldn't finish it off," Head Coach Joe Abraham said.
