TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team proved it will be a force to be reckoned with this season, shutting down Army, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at home. This was the Rockets' first meeting with the Black Knights, who are a consistent NCAA qualifying team.
"This definitely didn't feel like a 7-0 win," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "Army is tough; we were just able to play the bigger points better. It was a high-level match for so early in the season. We had match points against us at No. 2 doubles and No. 1 singles, and we were able to come back on both of those courts.
