TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Toledo captured its first victory of the season with a 3-0 shutout against Indiana State at Memorial Stadium Sunday afternoon.
All three of Toledo's goals came in the second half. Graduate student scored two second-half goals, the second coming at the 83-minute mark that gave the Rockets a 3-0 cushion. Graduate student also scored at the 81-minute mark.
The Rockets, who tied with Purdue Fort Wayne 1-1 on Thursday, are now 1-1-2 on the season.
"Our team played really strong today for 90 minutes in very hot conditions," Head Coach said. "Our defense really battled and limited a good Indiana State team to only four shots all game.
