YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team dropped its Friday afternoon match at Youngstown State, 5-2.
"Youngstown State came out with lots of fire today," head coach said. "We didn't control the controllables well enough to beat an experienced team like that. With such a young team, we will learn from this and get better."
In doubles play, Toledo's duo of freshman and sophomore were able to defeat their YSU counterparts on the No. 3 court, but the Penguins won on courts No. 1 and 2 to win the doubles point.
The Rockets managed two victories in singles play.
