VERO BEACH, Fla. – Toledo set a 54-hole school record on Monday with its 22-under par team total propelling the Rockets to a fourth-place finish at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational. The tournament included six teams ranked among the Top 35 of Golfstat's rankings and was played at the par-72, 7,460-yard Quail Valley Golf Club.
Toledo's team score of 842 trailed only No. 11 Kansas (829), No. 31 Kent State (836) and No. 28 Michigan State (841). The Rockets finished ahead of No. 10 South Florida, No. 24 Northwestern and No. 25 Indiana. The Rockets' previous record for most strokes under par was 21-under par 843 at the 2002 Badger Invitational.
