DeKalb, IL – Toledo's season came to an end on Friday evening with a heartbreaking 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-23) setback to No. 3 Ohio in the 2016 Mid-American Conference quarterfinals at Victor E. Court in DeKalb, IL.
"We're disappointed in losing that match," said head coach Greg Smith. "We played a tough Ohio team that exploited some of our weaknesses. But I'm very proud of our team and the season they've had overall. This is a huge step for our porgram and for moving forward in the future."
Junior MB Annie Beasley paced the Rockets with 11 terminations, while junior OH Saige Thomas trailed with 10 and senior RSH Mary O'Connor posted nine.
