DeKalb, Ill.— The Toledo baseball team took down Northern Illinois, 15-0, on Saturday.
The Rockets had a great day on the mound and in the batter's box. Senior Sam Shutes tossed seven shutout innings to earn his eighth win of the season. It was his third start of the season in which he threw at least seven scoreless innings. Senior Corey Tipton had a career-high four hits, including three doubles, to go with his four RBIs and three runs. Junior Ross Adolph smacked his MAC-leading 12th home run of the season and tied his career high with four hits.
