West Lafayette, Ind. - The University of Toledo men's tennis team kicked off their first day of play in the Purdue Fall Invitational on Friday.
Senior Serjen Olmedo secured a win in the opening round with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Green Bay's Miles McDowall. Junior Danilo Vukotic was victorious over Illinois State's Zacharias Rasmusson after three sets (4-6, 7-5, 10-7) and junior Thawin Suksathaporn defeated Cardinal Stritch's Niccolo Rossi in three sets (6-3, 1-6, 11-9). Senior Juan Carranza also claimed victory, defeating Charlie Ridout of Green Bay (6-3, 6-0).
