FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Toledo sits in fifth place after carding identical rounds of 20-over par 308 in the first and second round of Friday's opening day of the 2018 Mid-American Championships. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,331-yard Sycamore Hills Golf Club.
Senior Stephen Watts is leading the Rockets at five-over par 149 (74-75). Watts' day was highlighted by an eagle on the par-five, 536-yard No. 2 hole in the opening round.
Senior Colin Joseph (79-75) and junior Duncan McNeill (77-77) are tied for 15th place at 10-over par 154.
