TOLEDO, Ohio - Fresh off its Mid-American Conference Championship title, the Toledo women's cross country team will attempt to run for national honors when the Rockets head to Evansville, Ind. for the Great Lakes Regionals at 11:00 a.m. CT (Noon ET) on Friday, Nov. 12.
Toledo, ranked fourth in the Great Lakes Region, won the MAC title in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Oct. 30 by putting four runners in the top seven. Freshman Joy Chirchir crossed the finish line first with a time of 20:23.2, and was followed by senior Semra Karaslan (2nd/20:36.2), junior Faith Linga (5th/20:56.
