TOLEDO, OH – Toledo opened home play with a 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 27-25, 25-22) victory over Saint Francis in the first match of the Asics Invitational. The Rockets improve to 5-2 on the season, while SFU drops to 3-5.
Sophomore OH Gracey Tuifua posted a career-high 17 kills, junior OH Saige Thomas trailed with 14 and freshman MB Zoe Birnbrich added 13.
Sophomore S Carly Townsend tied her career-high with 61 assists and junior DS Lauren Bakaitis recorded a career-high five services aces.
Sophomore libero Maurissa Leonard led the Rockets' defense with 27 digs.
