Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team (11-5, 1-2 MAC) secured its first win of the Mid-American Conference season with a 6-1 victory over Northern Illinois (5-13, 0-4 MAC) today. The day saw UT sweep the doubles point and win three singles matches in two sets.
"We've played well at home lately so I expected them to be ready for this," head coach Tracy Mauntler said after the match. "There was a bit more motivation to win against NIU because they beat us last year and they're the reason we didn't get into the MAC tournament.
