Toledo, Ohio - The University of Toledo women's track and field team is set to host Bowling Green for the BGSU dual meet on Friday. Field events begin at 1:00 p.m. with the women's hammer throw followed by the discus. Track events begin at 3:30 p.m. with the women's 2,000-meter steeplechase. A senior recognition presentation is slated for 4:15 p.m.
The Rockets opened the outdoor season with 11 top-10 finishes, nine personal bests, and four MAC automatic qualifying times at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. last Friday and Saturday. During the first day of competition, junior Athena Welsh broke UT's record for the 5000m, posting a 15:58.
