KENT, Ohio - The Toledo baseball team was on the wrong side of a walk-off finish for the second time in the series as Kent State pulled the feat, 3-2, on Saturday evening at Schoonover Stadium. The Golden Flashes used three singles and walk in the ninth inning to chase across the winning run.
The Rockets (14-25, 7-7 MAC) used an impressive start from fifth-year senior Ross Achter to keep Kent State out of the scoring column for the first six innings. Achter was stellar in 8.0 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on nine hits and a walk.
