TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team saw its home winning streak snapped on Friday afternoon with a 4-3 defeat to Northern Illinois at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
"A tiebreaker decider for the doubles point and five-of-six singles matches went to three-sets," head coach said. "That explains how intense this match was."
Northern Illinois started fast in doubles play, winning the No. 1 court before and tied the match at 1-1 with a win at the No. 2 court. The doubles team point was decided by a 7-6(4) intense match won by the Huskies to take a 1-0 match lead into singles play.
