KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Toledo softball team lost to Western Michigan, 3-0, in the final game of a three-game series vs. the Broncos in Kalamazoo on Friday. Following a split on Friday, WMU took two of three games in the series and nudged ahead of Toledo into a tie for second place with Ohio in the Mid-American Conference standings.
Toledo (22-19, 12-8 MAC) entered the day just percentage points ahead of WMU (25-20, 14-8 MAC) and is now in fourth place in the conference, just a game behind WMU and Ohio. The top six teams will play in the MAC Tournament in Akron on May 8-11.
