Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's soccer team (3-2-1) fell 2-1 to Detroit Mercy (2-3-1) in a double overtime thriller today at Scott Park. The Rockets' lone goal came from senior captain Hannah Scafaria who now has six on the year.
"Credit to Detroit, they're a great team," head coach TJ Buchholz said. "They did an awesome job defensively absorbing a lot of our pressure. I think we got in some good moments but we just couldn't put it away. Their goalkeeper was fantastic too. She just had an unbelievable game, she's one of the best goalkeepers by far we've seen this season.
