Box Score MOUNT PLEASANT, MICH. – The Toledo softball team dropped its series opener at Central Michigan on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 11-4.
The Rockets fell behind early, trailing 9-1 through two innings, and were unable to make their way back despite a three-run top of the fifth. Central Michigan scored four runs in the first inning and five in the second to take a sizable lead, then senior Aubrey Reed slowly closed the gap with a three-run homer in the fifth. It wouldn't be enough, though, and the Rockets would drop their series opener.
