Oxford, Ohio— The Toledo baseball team fell to Miami in walk-off fashion on Sunday afternoon by a score of 7-6.
In a back-and-forth affair, Toledo scored twice in the top of the third to take an early lead. Miami answered right back with three runs in the bottom half of the frame to jump ahead, 3-2. The Rockets plated two runs each in the sixth and seventh to take a three-run lead, 6-3, before the RedHawks tied it up with three runs of their own in the bottom of the eighth.
The bottom of the ninth inning started with a hit by pitch, and the very next batter drove a double to deep left field, bringing in the winning run and handing the Rockets their second walk-off defeat in three days.
