MAUMEE, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's tennis team welcomed Wayne State Friday afternoon in its home-opener dual match, but could not hold in the end. Warriors' comeback defeats Rockets 4-3.
"This team came to our building and punched us in the mouth," head coach said. "They were definitely better than us – at least they were tonight. These situations will help us in the long run."
Toledo came out strong in doubles competition, with 6-4 wins on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts. During singles competition, Wayne State came back to even the score.
