Charlotte, NC – Toledo's offense froze on the second day of games at the Charlotte First Pitch Classic in Charlotte, NC on Sunday. UT fell 9-1 to host Charlotte in seven innings.
"This was a learning experience for our team," said head coach Kristen Butler. "We learned that every pitch matters and the first inning sets the tempo of the game."
The Rockets (1-2) were unable to generate much offense on the day, limited to just five hits and one run in the contest.
The 49ers broke the game open with one run in the first inning and three runs in the second.
