Toledo might be in the market for a new football coach.
According to FootballScoop, one of the top coaching industry websites, Jason Candle is the front-runner to be the Miami Hurricanes’ offensive coordinator. Miami coach Mario Cristobol reportedly had discussions last week with Candle about becoming Miami’s play caller.
Phone calls and text messages to Candle and Toledo athletic director Mike O’Brien went unreturned on Monday.
Cristobol, the former coach at Oregon, was hired by Miami in December.
FootballScoop also reported that Cristobol had conversations with Arkansas offensive coordinator Kendall Briles.
