Two constants have emerged from the University of Toledo women’s basketball team: wins and rebounds.
The Rockets have won 21 games and have an outside shot at winning the Mid-American Conference championship. They also rank No. 29 nationally in rebounding margin (plus-6.8).
Until Saturday’s game against Central Michigan, which leads the MAC in rebounding, UT had outrebounded nine consecutive opponents. In 27 games, the Rockets have had a plus-rebounding advantage 21 times.
“I do believe that it’s a discipline thing,” Toledo head coach Ginny Boggess said. “It's a fitness thing. It’s a toughness thing.
