The home locker room in Savage Arena was a hostile environment at halftime Friday night.
The University of Toledo trailed Miami 40-29 after a putrid first half. No one in midnight blue and gold was happy about what had just transpired in the first 20 minutes, especially Ra’Heim Moss.
“Very vocal and loud,” teammate Tyler Cochran said, describing the scene. “He was encouraging guys. It wasn’t everybody just pointing fingers. It was togetherness and positive talk. When you go into halftime down 11 and get punched in the face, it was like, bro, this isn’t us.”
Moss, a 6-foot-4 junior guard, has been billed as Toledo’s defensive stimulant and stalwart the past two seasons.
