TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo sophomore cornerback Quinyon Mitchell was named second-team All-America by Pro Football Focus, while senior defensive tackle Desjuan Johnson earned honorable mention honors.
Mitchell is the nation's leader in passes defended with 22 (five interceptions, 17 pass breakups). His 17 breakups is the all-time Toledo record, breaking mark of 16 set by current San Francisco 49er Samuel Womack last year.
Earlier this season, Mitchell was named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) for his record-breaking performance vs. Northern Illinois on Oct.
