QB Gleason ready to lead Toledo football for as long as he's needed

Tucker Gleason wanted anything but leftovers on the day after Thanksgiving last year.

The Toledo quarterback was 1,200 miles away from his hometown of Tampa, Fla., and a 2½-hour drive from his adoptive home at the University of Toledo.

The Rockets lost to Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, 20-14, in a game that wasn’t as nearly as competitive as the final score. Gleason completed just 13 of 38 passes. He threw an interception. He was sacked four times.

Last week, he had one thought on his mind.
