ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. — University of Toledo baseball standout Garret Pike broke the program’s single-season home run record early in the Rockets’ game at Oakland on Tuesday.
Pike, an Anthony Wayne graduate, blasted his 17th home run of the season on a two-run shot in the top of the first inning. He moved past current teammate Owen Jackson and former teammate Mason Sykes, who each hit 16 home runs in the 2023 and 2022 season, respectively.
Pike has two of the top nine single-season home run totals in program history. His 15 home runs are tied with four other players for fourth.
