TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team had an offensive spark in the second half with two goals, but could not overcome its deficit to drop Thursday's matchup to Ball State, 6-2.
Ball State opened scoring in the first half with two goals from Avery Franchel and carry the lead into halftime. The Cardinals took a three-goal leadded one more goal until Morgan Otteson cut the deficit 3-1, ten seconds after the BSU goal. The Cardinals pushed ahead with another goal, but Otteson answered again to keep the Rockets within two (4-2). Ball State ran away with the game with two more goals before the last horn for the 6-2 final.
