LEXINGTON, Ky. – Three Toledo women's track & field student-athletes competed in the fourth and final day of the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regional, with Laura Nicholson highlighting the day by finishing just one spot away from qualifying for the NCAA championships in the 1,500m quarterfinals at the University of Kentucky Track & Field Complex on Saturday.
The graduate student Nicholson ran the 1,500m in a time of 4:11.49, breaking her previous record of 4:11.65 set at the Wake Forest Invitational on April 19. Nicholson's PR time is also good for the second-fastest in program history.
