OXFORD, Ohio — Nate Navigato came up with a clutch 3-pointer and layup to help give the University of Toledo men’s basketball team a 66-63 Mid-American Conference victory over Miami on Tuesday night at Millett Hall.
Navigato had 17 of his team-high 20 points in the second half, and none were as big as the last five he scored for the Rockets (17-4, 5-3 MAC). With the win, Toledo remains tied atop the Mid-American Conference West Division with Northern Illinois.
“Nate Navigato came to play in the second half,” UT coach Tod Kowalczyk said. “He wasn’t himself the first half.
