KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Toledo men's tennis team faced a tough day of singles competition on the second day of play at the Mid-American Conference Invitational on Saturday in Kalamazoo, Mich.
"We had a lot of bright spots today, but definitely took our medicine." said head coach Al Wermer. "We're excited to see how we finish up tomorrow. I think we'll be ready for a fight."
Junior Filip Zupancic defeated Binghamton's Alejandro Pena in a three-set thriller after falling 6-7 in the first set and bouncing back to take the second and third sets 6-3, 6-2 in the Flight 4 bracket.
