At the conclusion of the 2021 college football season, center Bryce Harris and wide receiver Danzel McKinley-Lewis will have been at the University of Toledo longer than 29 terms of 46 United States Presidents.
The super, super, super seniors’ Rockets tenure pre-dates the Jason Candle era — and he has completed five seasons. Harris and McKinley-Lewis are embarking on their seventh and, finally, final season at UT.
Redshirts, injuries, and a global pandemic contributed to the rare doctorate career.
“I would have told them that they’re crazy,” said Harris, who will leave Toledo happily married. “I would have never guessed that I’d have a sixth year, let alone a seventh year.
