Finishing off a long week of basketball, the University of Toledo women’s team was glad to return home to close out the week and was able to bounce back from a mid-week loss with a 65-56 win over Cleveland State on Saturday afternoon at Savage Arena.

The Rockets (7-2) battled foul trouble early in the game and used a 13-0 run to open the third quarter to separate from the Vikings (6-3) and stay unbeaten at home this season.

“I was a proud of our players because I thought we settled down in the second half and had a strong third quarter which made the difference in the game,” UT coach Tricia Cullop said.
